Technical and Operations Assistant – RIS

A vacancy has arisen for theposition of Operations and Technical Assistant within our AberdeenOffice. This will be supporting our Rig Inspection division.

The key duties of this positioninclude, but are not limited to, the responsibilities detailed below:

Personnel:

  • Shortlist candidates for projects
  • Acquiring resources and administration of recruitment
  • Review and Maintain Personnel Competency Tracker
  • Acquiring resources and administration of recruitment
  • Logistics/ Equipment:

Procurement of Project Equipment:

  • Shipping Preparation – collation of Certification, MSDS sheets and Shipping Paperwork.
  • Maintain Calibration register and records
  • Maintain COSHH Register
  • Manage storeman functions associated with all NDT equipment, company assests and rope access equipment as per IRATA requirements.
  • Booking Travel and Hotels for personnel when necessary.

Operations:

  • Attend Daily Operations Meeting
  • Job registration within IFS
  • Raise Vendor Purchase Requisitions within IFS
  • Liaise with HR for booking and issuing of check-ins to personnel.
  • Timesheets – Logging, Distribution and archiving.
  • Preparing and issuing project work pack – copy of relevant checklists, work scope documents, specifications, manifests, technical drawings.
  • Close out of project documentation on receipt from project execution team
  • Maintain up to date long and short term plans and ensure adequate human and material resources are available to support company operations.
  • Maintain POB Tracker
  • Filing of project documentation on receipt from project execution team
  • Updating KPI’s on completion of operation
  • General Office & Project Duties within the remit of RIS

The successful candidate willmeet the following criteria_

  • The right to work in the UK
  • Minimum 1 years industry experience
  • Education to High School/College
  • Experienced and competent user of Word, Excel and other PC-based tools
  • Organized and detail oriented
  • Ability to prioritize among own work tasks
  • Be a good team player
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work systematically and individually
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Ability to identify processes needing improvement, and to recommend improvements
  • Ability to analyse and manage risk
  • Ability to establish rapport with others and build relationships with third parties and internal customers that are beneficial in achieving work related goals
  • Proven problem solving skills with the ability to gather and assess information, formulate and evaluate alternatives and propose a recommended solution
  • Technical Knowledge of the following advantageous:
  1. Lifting Equipment and Accessories
  2. IRATA
  3. NDT
