A vacancy has arisen for the position of Workshop Mechanic within our Well Services Department.
The key duties of this position include, but are not limited to, the responsibilities detailed below:
- Perform maintenance, repair, inspections and testing of hydraulic, mechanical and manual equipment
- Perform specialist tools maintenance with accordance to company procedures
- Dispatching of equipment to rig/base
- Cleaning and maintenance at the storehouse and workshop
- Receive, control, marking and storage of equipment at the base
- Self-inspection of performed work
- Participate in company training/courses, and general meetings when required
- Travel to other locations
- Responsible for following rules and procedures as well as reacting and reporting incidents, dangerous behavior and dangerous conditions
- To assist in ensuring that all material movements are carried out in a cost effective and safe manner
- Must assist in making the yard and warehouse an accident free zone
- Assist in ensuring that all internal and external clients’ requirements are met
- To assist in the provision of training on all materials logistics matters to new warehouse staff as required
The successful candidate must have the following:
- The right to work in the UK
- Craft certificate as Motor mechanic or Hydraulic Mechanic
- Min. 3 to 4 years mechanical experience
- Experience in Tubular Running Equipment (power Tongs, Power Units Casing running tools) preferred but not essential
- Travelling crane and forklift certificate (preferred but not essential)
