Account Manager US

Odfjell Well Services is expanding in the Americas region and are currently seeking an Account Manager for our US operations. 

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Drilling Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering; alternatively, extensive relevant experience within the oil and gas market.
• Minimum 10 years of direct experience in sales and account management within drilling or well services.
• Strong engineering or operational background in drilling and well services.
• Broad knowledge of common drilling, wellbore clean-up, fishing, casing drilling, and other specialty tools and their applications.
• Detailed understanding of market pricing and commercial structures with proven ability to prepare high-quality quotations and tenders.
• Solid knowledge of contractual terms and conditions related to well services.
• Excellent presentation, relationship management, and negotiation skills with the ability to engage customers and demonstrate value.
• Strong business acumen, commercially minded, and customer service–oriented.
• Proficient in CRM and ERP systems (preferably HubSpot and IFS).
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
• Dedicated, self-motivated, and willing to “go the extra mile” to ensure customer satisfaction.

DUTIES / TASKS
Sales and Business Development

• Generate, qualify, and develop leads to achieve defined sales targets.
• Identify new business opportunities, negotiate contracts, and close deals in alignment with strategic growth objectives.
• Prepare and deliver professional presentations, tenders, quotations, and pricing proposals.
• Maintain accurate sales records and forecasts in the CRM system.
• Conduct market analysis and competitor benchmarking to support pricing and business decisions.
• Support the development of regional sales plans, account strategies, and new market entry initiatives.
• Ensure customer service satisfaction and proactive client follow-up.
• Manage all aspects of the quotation-to-payment cycle, including POs, WOs, DTs, invoicing, and payment follow-up.

Account Management
• Serve as the primary focal point for assigned clients, ensuring consistent communication and service delivery.
• Maintain strong relationships with both client representatives and internal operations teams.
• Ensure comprehensive and timely handover of new contracts, tenders, and POs to Operations and Finance.
• Attend client meetings, DWOPs, CWOPs, and AARs as required.
• Report on project progress, cost, and deviations in coordination with Operations.
• Collaborate with the Service Delivery and Operations Managers to ensure client satisfaction and operational alignment.

Coordination and Communication
• Maintain alignment and close communication between business development, sales, and marketing functions.
• Support preparation of marketing materials, trade events, and client communications when required.
• Undertake special assignments and ensure all designated duties are performed efficiently and in accordance with company procedures.
• Travel domestically and internationally as required.
