Odfjell Well Services is expanding in the Americas region and are now seeking a Business Development Manager for our Tubular Running Services department.
The ideal candidate will be based in Houston area.
Qualifications & Experience:
•Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
•Minimum 5–10 years of experience in Tubular Running Services, Well Services, or Oilfield Sales/Operations.
•Proven track record in business development or account management within the energy sector.
•Strong understanding of drilling and completions operations, TRS equipment, and rig interface requirements.
•Experience preparing tenders, commercial proposals, and contract negotiations.
•Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• High proficiency in written and spoken English.
•Proficient in CRM tools, Microsoft Office Suite, and business analytics platforms.
•Willingness to travel regionally and internationally as required.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development & Sales
•Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities within the TRS market across designated territories.
•Develop and maintain relationships with key clients, drilling contractors, and operators.
•Lead the preparation of technical and commercial proposals, tenders, and prequalification documents.
•Forecast and track sales metrics, revenue growth, and market share performance.
•Collaborate with operations, engineering, and finance teams to ensure cost-effective and technically sound solutions.
•Conduct market analysis to identify emerging trends, competitors, and customer needs.
•Drive client presentations, product demonstrations, and value-proposition discussions.
Strategic Planning
•Contribute to the formulation and execution of regional TRS business strategies and growth plans.
•Develop annual business plans and budget forecasts aligned with organizational goals.
•Identify potential partnerships, agents, and regional representation opportunities.
•Participate in trade shows, exhibitions, and industry networking events to enhance brand visibility.
Customer Relationship Management
•Act as primary point of contact for TRS customers, ensuring high satisfaction and continuous engagement.
•Monitor contract performance and coordinate with internal teams for service delivery and quality compliance.
•Lead post-job reviews and gather client feedback to improve performance and customer loyalty.
Commercial & Technical Interface
•Liaise with Product Line and Engineering to tailor solutions for client requirements.
•Provide market feedback on technology trends and customer demands.
•Support the qualification and introduction of new TRS technologies and digital solutions.
