Odfjell Well Services is expanding in the Americas region and are now seeking a Commercial and Tender Coordinator to cover our Americas region, out of Lafayette or Houston area.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Drilling Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering or other relevant discipline; alternatively, extensive relevant experience within the oil and gas market.
• Minimum 3 years of direct experience in sales, commercial coordination, or account management within drilling or well services.
• General technical understanding and/or operational background in drilling or well services.
• Broad knowledge of common drilling, wellbore cleanup, fishing, casing drilling, and other specialty tools and their applications.
• Proven experience in preparing tenders, quotations, and commercial documentation to a high professional standard.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage customers and internal teams effectively.
• Strong relationship management and negotiation skills with a customer service mindset.
• Detailed understanding of contractual terms and conditions related to well services.
• High proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Proactive, well-organized, and committed to maintaining accuracy and quality under tight deadlines.
• Dedicated to providing excellent customer service and demonstrating initiative in supporting business growth.
DUTIES / TASKS
Tendering and Commercial Support
• Serve as a key focal point for all prequalification and tendering activities within the Americas region.
• Develop, organize, and coordinate high-quality tender documentation with input from technical and operational teams.
• Consolidate and format all tender documents for submission in line with client and company standards.
• Monitor tender portals, client communications, and market channels for new business opportunities.
• Maintain tender documentation databases and ensure records are up to date and audit ready.
• Coordinate vendor registration processes and maintain existing supplier profiles.
• Engage with clients, agents, and internal stakeholders to support tender preparation and submission.
• Prepare commercial and technical offers, quotations, and price structures in collaboration with management.
Sales and Client Interaction
• Support sales activities, including lead follow-up, pricing support, and customer communication.
• Conduct client presentations and participate in meetings as required.
• Foster and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring high satisfaction and professional communication.
• Monitor competitors, market trends, and pricing developments within the region.
• Ensure proper documentation such as POs, WOs, DTs, and invoices are tracked and followed up until payment.
• Support monthly reporting and project tracking activities.
Coordination and Administrative Support
• Ensure alignment between commercial, sales, and operational teams.
• Participate in strategy discussions, planning meetings, DWOP/CWOP sessions, and customer engagement events as required.
• Contribute to the preparation of sales reports, budgets, and forecasts.
• Support management in developing standard templates, documentation, and procedural improvements.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager to support the department’s overall performance.
