We are now looking for a Finance Manager to cover our Americas region. 

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

· 3-5+ years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, or business control, including experience operating in complex or multi-entity environments.
· Proven experience in a financial management or regional finance role, with demonstrated ability to operate independently and take full ownership of a finance function.
· Strong track record in establishing, improving, and governing financial processes and internal controls, ensuring compliance with both local regulations and group standards.
· Solid understanding of international finance structures, including exposure to cross-border operations, intercompany transactions, transfer pricing, and tax considerations.
· Demonstrated ability to act as a commercial and operational sparring partner, translating financial performance into actionable insights for operational leadership.
· Strong analytical capability with the ability to identify financial risks, opportunities, performance drivers, and value creation levers.
· Good understanding of operational processes and the ability to connect financial performance with activity, utilization, contracts, and commercial drivers.
· Experience leading or developing team members is preferred, with the capability to build and structure a small regional finance team over time.
· Comfortable collaborating with Odfjell finance teams, auditors, tax advisors, and regional management.
· Strong systems mindset with solid experience in ERP environments, financial modelling, and data-driven reporting tools.
· Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal), with the confidence to engage senior stakeholders across regions.
· Experience from the Oil & Gas industry or other asset-intensive, project-driven industries is advantageous.

DUTIES/TASKS

• Responsible for managing effective delivery of month end/budget/forecast/year-end reporting on assigned entities.
• Play a crucial part in ensuring seamless coordination and communication between Finance and Operational management. 
• Translate financial data into understandable insights for non-finance team members, enabling them to make informed decisions that positively impact operations.
• Generate regular reports on key financial and operational metrics, and present findings to senior management for strategic planning and decision-making.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency enhancements within both finance and operational functions, and work with cross-functional teams to implement solutions.
• Collaborate with operational managers to identify potential financial and operational risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
• Contribute to the development of Company’s strategic goals and objectives as well as organizational KPIs.
• Mentor and develop staff using a supportive and collaborative approach: assign accountabilities; set objectives; establish priorities; and monitor and evaluate results
• Responsible for communication with Entity assigned and/or Group Auditor on assigned entities
• Responsible for cash management and optimisation of working capital position for assigned entities, including compliance to Corporate guidelines.
• Contribute to financial and commercial risk management for assigned entities.
• Contribute to contract management and contract follow up, including but not limited to, timely rate adjustments, follow up of contractual disputes, etc.
• Contribute in timely delivery of tender activities when required
• Contribute to deliveries and evaluations necessary to assess potential expansion opportunities
• Contribute to improving competence level and knowledge sharing within finance team for assigned entities, hereunder developing a high-performance Business Controller team together with VP Finance
