ONS 2026 – a milestone moment for Odfjell Technology

Published 19.08.2026

Four days. 70,000 visitors. The whole energy value chain in one place. And for the first time in 2026, Odfjell Technology will be exhibiting.

Although we have attended and hosted at ONS many times in the past, this year’s gathering from 24-27 August will mark a milestone moment for Odfjell Technology, our three business areas, and our global teams as first-time exhibitors.

The company has grown significantly since energy industry delegates from around the globe last descended on Stavanger in 2024, and our presence this year reflects that.

There is more to show and more of our people on hand to talk about it, than at any previous ONS and this is the right moment to showcase our work spanning well services, operations, projects and engineering across many regions.

New technology on display

Our stand puts recent additions to the Odfjell Technology portfolio front and centre. Following the acquisitions of Razor Oil Tools and Kaseum Technologies, we will have 3D models of five tools on display, giving visitors a clear view of how each one works and what they deliver for operations:

  • RAZORCUT – tubing cutter for cutting tubing, casing and packers
  • RAZORDRILL – tubing puncher
  • RAZORRAM – stroker tool for fishing and valve manipulation
  • K-SET and K-PUNCH from the Kaseum well intervention range

Together, these strengthen our intervention and well abandonment offering, and demonstrate how Odfjell Technology continues to build capability through acquisition alongside its own significant heritage and experience.

As a hosting partner of Norwegian Energy Partners (NORWEP), we expect to welcome many international delegates to our booth over the four days as well as pre-arranged meetings, sessions and receptions. Colleagues from across our international operations will be in Stavanger for the week, which makes the stand a useful first point of contact to learn about our service lines and regional offerings.

Contributing to the discussion

Odfjell Technology is contributing to the extensive ONS programme as well as what is taking place on the exhibition floor. NORWEP has invited us to moderate the panel session ‘From Pilots to Bankable Projects’, with our Vice President Business Development & Energy Transition, Vegard Sjursen, chairing the debate.

The session addresses a practical question: what must happen over the next five years to move floating CCS and low-carbon projects out of the pilot phase and into industrial scale? The discussion will cover commercialisation, the role of standardisation in reducing cost, and what investors, customers and project developers need to see before committing capital, drawing on lessons from scaling technology in global energy markets.

These are the constraints that determine which projects are ultimately built, and they matter to us as a delivery partner as much as they do to developers.

Accelerating Energy – our ONS evening reception

Valuable conversations at ONS continue even after the halls have closed for the day, and this year we are pleased to host the third edition of ‘Accelerating Energy’ – our ONS evening reception. The social event, which is staged in a stunning, colourful location close to Stavanger Harbour, will be held on the first and second evenings of ONS.

It brings together colleagues, partners and industry leaders for networking and meaningful discussion about the evolving energy landscape. Delegates can register for the reception here.
