Odfjell Technology has been an important tubular running services provider to OMV Petrom – the largest integrated energy producer in Southeastern Europe – for more than a decade, delivering safe and efficient operations.
For this well and casing drilling (Level 2) in particular, Odfjell Technology deployed a conventional line-up of casing running equipment, including its Casing Running Tool with internal grip. A specialized casing drilling drill bit and solid body spiral casing centralizers were also utilized to ensure optimal performance.

The project was executed on time with zero non-productive time (NPT), delivering significant value to the client. Drilling with casing in Romania has proven to be an effective method for reducing flat time, achieving significant time savings compared to conventional drilling methods used in this field.
